Sports use various classification systems when designing competitive sporting structures for athletes with disabilities.

In school sport, classification systems exist for competitors with disabilities that follow the International Paralympic Committee guidelines.

School Sport is working closely with the Australian Paralympic Committee to provide students with opportunity to gain classification.  A number of classification days have been proposed  and will be added to as required - Classification Days.

It is proposed that students with disabilities participating at state championships in Swimming, Cross Country and Track & Field will at least need National Provisional Classification.  For intellectually disabled students - a Disability Confirmation form will be equired from your school consellor.

Classifier Expression of Interest
