Competitive School Sport

 

Opportunities exist for students with disabilities to compete within the current school sport pathways in the listed sports.  These pathways are evolving and some regions and zones as yet may not offer 'athlete with disability' (AWD) events at their respective carnivals / trials / championships however all students have access to State Championships as long as they meet the qualification standards.  Contact should be made with the respective Regional Sports Organiser to ascertain entry criteria.  Contact details for Regional Sports Organisers.

Alternatively, students and parents should enquire via their School Sports Organiser regarding the entry point within the current structure that these opportunities exist. 

All AWD events conducted within the competitive school sport structure will be conducted as per the International Paralympic Committee's Rules and Procedures (unless otherwise stated) and use the Multidisability Format.
