Schools provide various sporting opportunities for students with disabilities, most of these opportunities are facilitated by external providers.  This page aims at providing schools with options for participating in recreational pursuits and weekly student centred physical activities.  It is hoped this page will remain dynamic and current.  Please don't hesitate to email - ross.morrison@det.nsw.edu.au with other external providers and recreational school sport opportunities for students with disabilities.

Organisations / Group

Northcott Disability Services

Provides support for mainly wheelchair disability groups including people with spina bifida, cerebral palsy and osteogenesis impertecta.  Northcott conducts annual carnivals in the sports of swimming, football, athletics and balloon soccer.

Sailability

Allows students with most disabilities to experience the sport of sailing in a safe and caring emvironment.  NSW clubs have embraced Sailability for schools. Follow this links - Sailability Dobroyd is sees how some clubs a providing opportunies.

Riding for the Disabled

Provides opportunities for students with most disabilities to participate in recreational horse riding activities.  These opportunities exist throughout NSW.

NSW Association of Disability Sports

Is the umbrella organisation for all disability sports associations throughout NSW.
