Dave Haggart (South Sydney HS) has been honoured with the NSW Water Safety Award of NSW Life Saver of the Year.  The decoration awarded to Dave in September this year takes in swimming pool work, surf life saving and council life guard activities.

Dave Haggart is involved in the Sydney Branch of NSW Surf Lifesaving.  This area takes in all beaches from Nth Bondi to Nth Cronulla.  The Surf Life Saving Association consists of 11 branches in the state of NSW.  Dave is NSW Life Saver of the Year and Sydney Branch Life Saver of the Year.

Dave Haggart has just been nominated by NSW Surf Life Saving for NSW volunteer of the year.  This esteemed award which takes in activities from all walks of life state-wide will be judged later this year.

Dave coordinates the Sydney Region Schools Surf Lifesaving Championship each year and the Sydney East School Sport Association congratulates Dave on the wonderful work he puts into the students throughout the region and fully supports this outstanding recognition.
