001. Stunning Cricket Debut

Phillip Hughes competed his schooling at Homebush Boys High School.  He came down from the country to enable him to play Grade Cricket while still at school.  Phillip Hughes comes from the North Coast and was awarded a prestigious NSWCHS Blue for Cricket whilst attending Macksville High School.

At the age of 18 years old Phillip Hughes is the youngest new cap in thirty years to play for the NSW Blues, aside from Michael Clarke.  He made a wonderful debut, as opening batsman, late in November 2007 replacing the test opener Phil Jaques.

Phillip Hughes scored 51 against Tasmania and 68 in a one day match against Victoria.  Congratulations Phillip we look forward to watching you play cricket in future years.
