At the recent Country Athletics Championships some outstanding results were achieved by past and present NSWCHS students.  The Championships were held at Hunter Sports Centre, Glendale on 26/27 January.

Trudy Thompson (Gorokan HS) jumped a world junior qualifier in the High Jump with a leap of 1.82m in the Womens’ event.

Trudy also won the:

18/19yrs 100m Hurdles        14.87
18/19yrs Javelin                  33.32m

Brock Bower (Oxley HS) won the 17yrs Javelin, Hammer, Discus and Shot Put. Brock also gained a third place in the Open Javelin.

Ben Baker (Camden Haven HS) threw a National Qualifier and a personal best in the Javelin.
