Sally Fitzgibbons (Kiama HS) has taken out the inaugural Rising Star Award at the Australian Surfing Awards held this week.  This is just another jewel in the crown to what was a wonderful 2007. Sally holds the World Junior U18 and U20 Surfing Titles and she beat the boys to the Rising Star Award.

Sally Fitzgibbons represented South Coast Area in Athletics, Cross Country, Football and Touch.  Sally is a versatile and talented athlete.

Sally is the Illawarra Mercury/Novotel Sports Star of the Year 2007.  This is an outstanding achievement for a young athlete.
