Michael Auprince (Peakhurst HS) came 3rd in the 15yrs 100m Backstroke at the Sydney East Regional Swimming Carnival.  So what is to be admired about this result? What makes this result so special?  Michael competes in a very strong swimming region which takes in all the sporting kids of the Sutherland Shire and also Endeavour Sports High School. But so what?  Well Michael only has one leg.

Michael also won the entire Athlete with Disability program he entered at the carnival as well.

Michael Auprince at 15 years is going to trial at the Olympic Trials on the weekend.  Perhaps it is a tall order this time around but we should watch out for Michael in the future.
