On Saturday 23 May Australia’s Socceroos and Matildas will be playing friendly matches at the Sydney Football Stadium.

The Matildas will play the opener at 5.15pm against a strong Canadian team.  Later in the month the Matildas will be competing in the AFC Women’s Asia Cup in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.  The opener will be against Chinese Taipei on Thursday 29 May.  The Matildas are aiming to be the first Australian Team to be crowned Asian Champions.

In the Ausralian squad of twenty selected are past NSWCHS champions.

On Saturday night the Socceroos will take on the powerful Africa team Ghana and the kick off time is 8.00pm.  The coach of the Socceroos is watching how his charges perform in their push for selection to play in the next World qualifier against Iraq the following week in Brisbane.
