Rhiannan Iffland (Concord HS) was diver of the meet at the NSWCHS and All Schools Diving Championships held on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 May 2008. Rhiannan attended Nords Wharf Public School and Belmont High School before relocating to Sydney with her family in order to train with an elite squad. Rhiannan began diving at the age of seven and has the Olympics as her dream further down the track. In December 2007 Rhiannan travelled with a team of Australian divers to compete at the Camo International Canadian Championships. Here she won two silver medals in the 3m and 10 m events. At the NSWCHS championships Rhiannan won the 17yrs Springboard, the Open platform and was Champion of Champions. Angus Colloff (Concord HS) has also come in to Sydney to gain experience and train in his chosen sport of diving. Angus comes from ACT where there were no facilities available to dive indoors. Angus won the 16yrs Springboard, the Open Platform and was Champion of Champions at the NSWCHS championships. Alex has been diving for five years and also competed in Canada in December 2007. His ambition is to dive well at the Nationals in July and to make the team for the World Juniors. Alex boards with Rhiannan’s family in Sydney.
