The Carnival was hosted in Sydney East at Forshaw Rugby Park at Sylvania.  By the end of the first day conditions on the field were dreadful, chopped up and muddy.  Surrounding areas were under flood control such was the force of the rain during the day and particularly in the afternoon.

On day one of the NSWCHS Rugby trials the following players stood out as possible stars of the future in NSWCHS, NSW All Schools or even potential Wallabies.

Amongst a plethora of young talent the following players were particularly noteworthy of mention.

Winston Wilson (Hunter Sports HS)
Dominic Bower (Farrer Memorial Agricultural HS)
Ben Matwijow (Westfields Sports HS).  Ben has relocated from Nelson Bay to follow a Rugby Career in Sydney;
Ethan Ford (Kiama HS).
Tim Bennetts (Pennant Hills HS)
James Cunningham (St Ives HS)

Two brothers were on the ground playing in different teams.

Daniel Murray (Westfields Sports HS) from Sydney South West who represented in Australian Schools in 2007

Blake Murray (Inverell HS) from North West Region is three years younger than his elder brother.

NSWCHS congratulates these boys on their fine efforts and will watch their progress with interest.
