065. Four 2008 Olympians from One High School

July 2008

Kirrawee High School has four girls in the Australian Olympic Team for Beijing.  All four first represented Kirrawee High School in the Year 7 Water Polo Team.  This was their first introduction to the sport.  Three have gone on to represent Australia in Water Polo and one is representing in Hockey.

The Water Polo program at Kirrawee High School is credited to three members of staff who between them have put in countless years of hard work outside of normal school hours.  Congratulations Joe Hewett, Neil Myers and David Short on your magnificent achievements with the students.
