The girls’ singles and doubles Lawn Bowls Championships were held at Warilla at the end of July.

During the course of the tournament it rained and poured and the bowlers struggled on under these conditions until it was impossible to complete the tournament out doors.  Fortunately Warilla has an indoor bowling green and this is where the tournament was eventually moved to so it could be concluded.

Congratulations are extended to Sara Besenjak (Glendale Technology HS) who won the Singles and Doubles events.

Sara was the stand-out bowler of the Championships.  Sara was awarded the trophy for Bowler of the Tournament.
