The Junior Elite National Diving Championships were held from 17 July to 19 July at the Sydney International Aquatic Centre at Olympic Park.

Three students from NSWCHS were representing NSW at these championships. The three divers performed creditably and held their own against divers from the AIS, and Talented ID groups.  The NSW divers at present train approximately 8 hours a week and were up against divers who put in a minimum of 30 hours a week.

Sita Paling (Manly HS) achieved a sixth placing in the Junior C Platform and performed well in the 1 and 3m springboard events.

Victoria Hunt (Concord HS) also gained a sixth placing in the Junior B 1m Springboard event and competed creditably in the 3m Springboard event. 

Esther Qin (Beverly Hills IEC) competed in the 1m and 3m Junior A springboard events and gained a sixth placing in the 3m event.

Although not training at elite levels at the moment these students dived well and came through with promising results.
