School Girl Wins Australian Amateur Golf Trophy |

At the age of 17 years Justine Lee (Strathfield Girls HS) a student in year 12 became one of the youngest winners of the Australian Open Golf Amateur Championships. The championships were played in Queensland at the Brisbane Golf club where Justine defeated Taipei’s Wendy Tsai 1up in the match play event last month. In the past six months Justine has had some remarkable wins. In November last year Justine won the prestigious Aaron Baddley World Junior Championship in China. In February playing in the Australian Open Championships at the Metropolitan Course Justine Lee was the leading amateur. In April Justine won the Western Australian Stroke Play Championships at the Lake Karrinyup Country Club. This was played over 72 holes from April 6-8. Justine Lee was awarded a NSWCHS Blue for golf in 2008. Justine’s handicap is now +2. | |
