course will target young permanent teacher interested in PSSA sport.
To develop staff as Sports Coordinators within their school.

Implementation:
Session 1:
|
- Conducting school
base sports programs in conjunction with PSSA teams.
Developing a resource, in conjunction with our website, that seeks the
needs of teachers in what they require to conduct Athletics, Swimming
and Cross Country K-6
- Conducting tabloid
Athletics, involving events required for the Zone Carnival eg Long and
High Jump
- Duties of Carnival
Officials
- Overview of the
PSSA structure.

2: |
- Responsibilities
of elected conveners
- Development of
material for website to assist conveners eg proformas, draws that cover
any number of teams, point scoring in competitions with a bye and wet
weather.
- Functions of the
Zone Association
- Development of
a 'how to' manual for Athletics, Swimming and Cross Country conveners.

3: |
- This will be a
'hands on' session guiding the participants through our website, the
School Sport Unit website and relevant sites such as coaching accreditation,
state and national sporting associations, sporting suppliers etc.

Evaluation:
Evaluation sheets will be available for each session. In addition on going
evaluation/surveys will take place in June and November. |
