EVENTS:
- 18 Hole Scratch and Handicap Championships - boys & girls
- 9 Hole Scratch Championships - boys & girls
RULES & CONDITIONS:
- The rules of golf and the local rules of the Narrandera Golf Club shall apply.
- All ties shall be decided by count back
- The Match Committee reserves the right to alter the program if necessary
- Players to supply their own clubs and equipment
- Players to "pick up" after 12 strokes on a hole and record 12 on scorecard.
HANDICAPS:
- Players entering in the 18 Hole Champuionships must supply their current AGU handicap. If this handicap changes before the tournament day players are asked to inform the organisers on the day when they register
- Players entering in the 9 Hole Championship do not require a handicap.
COST: Entry fee is $8 per player. Payable on the day.
FOOD & DRINKS:
The club's bar will be open for drinks and snack-type foods. Food can be pre-ordered and paid for on the day - details will be sent to all competitors in their information pack.
NOMINATIONS:
All nominations must be returned by Friday 19 August 2005. Please complete the attached nomination form and player information sheet and return it to Susan Ruffles at Ganmain Public School at the above address or fax number. Information packages (accommodation, course information, rules and other relevant information will be in this pack) will be posted to players during the following week after entries close.
Application Forms
TEAM UNIFORM:
Players are asked to wear their school sport uniform.
REGISTRATION:
Players and team managers are asked to report to the official recording area by 9.30 am to confirm arrival, pay entry fees and receive further details about the day.
ADULT SUPERVISION:
An adult must accompany each group of players. Adults will be responsible for scoring, ensuring an adequate pace of play and assisting with rules as required. Please indicate on the forms attached the name/s of people who would be available on the day to assist with supervising groups. A teacher will be present on the day. NB: No coaching of players while playing will be permitted during the day.
AWARDS:
Trophies will be presented at the end of the day in the following categories:
- Individual 18 Hole Boys Champion - Scratch
- Individual 18 Hole Girls Champion - Scratch
- Individual 18 Hole Boys Champion - Handicap
- Individual 18 Hole Girls Champion - Handicap
- Individual 9 Hole Boys Champion - Scratch
- Individual 9 Hole Girls Champion - Scratch
- Nearest the pin - boys and girls
- Longest drive - boys and girls
SUPPORT FOR SCHOOLS AND PLAYERS:
Further information about coaching clinics and visits to schools that promote golf can be obtained from Susan Ruffles upon request.
PLAYING NARRANDERA GOLF CLUB BEFORE THE COMPETITION DAY:
Arrangements have been made with Jason Riles, the Golf Professional at Narrandera Golf Club, for playerts to access the course on Thursday 2 September for a practice round. Players are asked to make direct contact with Jason to arrange a time to play on the Thursday. The Pro Shop number is: 02 69593624; the Golf Club number is 02 6959 1327.
