CARNIVAL ORGANISATION:
- Schools entering the State Knockout MUST enter the Riverina Trials., Teams will play rounds of the State Knockout competition, with repechage games for the losing teams.
- Schools that have not entered this competition are still eligible to participate at this trial.
- Schools may also sent individual plays, if they wish, to try out for Riverina selection.
- All players should have correctly numbered uniforms
- Teams should provide their own warm up balls and match balls
- All teams will be required to do duty (first and second referee, linespersons and scorers). Please bring your own whistles.
- Lunch will be available from the Stadium Canteen.
RIVERINA SELECTION:
- All coaches are to provide the convener with a list of players who they consider are possible candidates for Riverina selection, and who are available for selection.
- The Inter-Area Carnival will be held from 18 to 20 March 2008 (week 8 term 1) at Bathurst
- Teachers wishing to nominate as a selector are to do so by contacting the Convener prior to the carnival.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Players who display saisfactory volleyball hitting skills
- Players who would make a contribution to the main team structure eg two specialist setters, two centre blockers, two attack players
- Players who would contribute to overall composition eg back court players, reliable servers.
- Players who make a commitment to train and travel with the selected team to CHS Championships at Bathurst, Term 1 Week 8.
- Players who display and practise good sportsmanship.
- Players with enthusiasm for volleyballl
