The advice contained in the memoranda: Care and Supervision of Students - Terms of Settlement Between the NSW Department of Education and Training and the NSW Teachers Federation (98/139), Welfare of Students While Engaged in Activities Conducted Under the Auspices of the School (PD20040019) and Excursions Policy (PD20040010)  should be read in conjunction with the following information.

Staff should be aware that departmental requirements in relation to child protection, including mandatory reporting, apply while they are supervising, coaching or training students. Refer to Protecting and Supporting Children and Young People: Revised Procedures (PD 20020072).
