Kanga Cricket

 

The most popular version of Kanga Cricket is Kanga Pairs.

THE TEAM

  1. Divide a group into pairs – 5 pairs is ideal, minimum 3, maximum 7. If you have a class of 30, create 3 games.
  2. Pair 1 will be batters, Pair 2 will take turns to bowl and wicketkeep. Pairs 3, 4 and 5 will field.

THE FIELD

  1. The playing area can be any reasonably flat surface. The length of the pitch should suit the age of the children starting at 12 – 14 m for U10s.
  2. A set of wickets is placed at each end of the pitch.
  3. The boundary should be at least 20 metres from the pitch. Fielders should stand at least 10 metres from the batters.

EQUIPMENT

2 Kanga bats and a Kanga ball. No gloves, pads or helmets.
