RESOURCES
The PD/H/PE committee is allocated a budget. This budget is used for
the purchasing of resources for the program.
COMMUNITY
INVOLVEMENT
No parental involvement. Local community associations assist with training
and development days for the students. These associations include Canterbury
Bankstown RLC , the NSW Cricket Association, Sydney Kings Basketball and
NSW AFL.
OTHER
SPORTING OPPOORTUNITIES
Jump Rope for Heart demonstrations. Regular visits by the Canterbury
Bankstown development officers during Terms 2 & 3 to work with the
Year 5 & 6 boys and girls. Ball presentation to Year 3 students by
Canterbury Bankstown players who talk about fitness, good sportsmanship,
diet and exercise. The school participates in the Milo Cup – Super Eight
Cricket Competition. Development Officers from the Sydney Kings, NSW Cricket Association and NSW AFL conduct regular
skills and follow up lessons.
REASONS
FOR THE SUCCESS OF THE PROGRAM
The program hinges on a hardworking, cooperative, well trained and knowledgeable
staff. Plenty of resources and the successful use outside agencies, development
officers and associations.
