| SCHOOL DESCRIPTION Fairfield Public School is a Pl school. Population approximately 740. 95.5% NESB from approximately 50 different language backgrounds. Major cultural groups include Assyrian, Vietnamese, Arabic, Chinese, South American, Pacific Islands and Cambodian. Recent years have seen huge increases in Bosnian, Serbian, Croatian, Macedonian and Iraqi groups move into area. Majority of students only experience physical activity / sport at school. 25% student mobility rate. School receives Federal Government equity funding for priority schools. Low socio-economic demographic. High density housing, predominantly units. Teacher numbers 1 principal, 2 DPs, 2 APs, 2 ETs, 21 class teachers, 5 ESL, 1 STLD, 1 Read Recovery, 1 teacher librarian. School is stage based in structure. All children from 1-6 are in 25 multi-age classes. School refurbished / rebuilt 1995-1997. The school has a hall, a hardcourt Netball/Basketball court and a small grassed area. WEEKLY

from Finance Committee $3000 in 2001) management plan / organisation of planning
days, sports & PE specific teacher resources, T&D, scope and sequence

sport groups organised by sport co-ordinators and a folder of lessons
made for each teacher.
