Introduction/Index

SCHOOL DESCRIPTION
The school site provides park-like grounds with flat playing fields adjoining a rainforest.
We receive additional funding, staffing and consultancy support from the Priority Schools Funding Program (PSFP).
Our enrolment figures fluctuate around 340. We have an equal number of boys and girls but they are not equally distributed across each grade.  We have 20 Aboriginal students, two Torres Strait Islander students and 24 Non-English Speaking Background students.
The schools in-mobility is very high and annual out-mobility high.
The school operates with sixteen classes, thirteen mainstream classes and three special education classes. One of these classes has been funded through the PSFP staffing supplementation.
The average age of staff at Wyoming Public School is 37 years.
A couple of staff members have been sport coordinators either at Wyoming Public School or at a previous school. Several staff members are active outside school hours, playing sports and generally keeping fit. Some have furthered their skills by becoming certificated coaches and referees in a variety of sports. For example, Touch Football, Basketball and Netball.
