GENERAL COMMENTS

A number of minor issues made the organisation of the 2009 team challenging. Queensland School Sport altered the published draw 8 days out from the carnival moving all 5 of our games. A number of issues with team gear not been ordered by outside parties or being sent to the wrong spots also proved embarrassing. (No fault of team management)

Parent support was exceptional, with every team member having at least one support person for the journey. Parents have sent all photos taken to team management which will be placed onto a CD and sent to all children. This will be a fantastic memento along with the other components budgeted for.

Dean Connors from the NSW/ACT AFL provided wonderful assistance with the team.  The team was very fortunate to have full access to the SCG and the Sydney Swans facilities the Friday before departure. Team management is indebted to Mark Ayres and Cameron French (NSW/ACT AFL) and Chris Smith and John Longmire (Sydney Swans) for their support of the NSW team.
