Program: The CROSS COUNTRY PROGRAM is presented here for you to download and print.
Walk of the Course: The walk of the course will take place at 9.45am. You should be at the venue prior to this time if you wish to walk the course.
Rules: Zones may enter 6 competitors in each age group. Please note that the Yr12 and Yr13 events are no longer two (2) seperate events and will now be a combined Yr 12/13 age group event.
(a) The first four from each zone will earn points.
(b) The lowest cumulative point score will win the teams competition.
(c) It is the responsibility of all competitors to run the correct course.
(d) Competitors interfering with other competitors will be disqualified.
(e) All protests must be lodged in writing to the Carnival Organiser from the Team Manager/ess within fifteen minutes of the conclusion of the event.
Special Entries: Requests for special entries close with the convener on Friday 29 May 2009. All requests for special entries must come through the relevant Zone Convener. Zone Conveners may download and print the current PRIMARY CROSS COUNTRY SPECIAL ENTRIES NOMINATION FORM.
Special Notes:
1. Competitors who fail to complete the course should notify the judges on their return to the finish.
2. Competitors are prohibited from using the course prior to the carnival.
3. Competitors must wear zone singlets and appropriate footwear.
NOTICE TO ALL ZONE CONVENERS
Entries: Must be forwarded to the Sydney North convener by Thursday 28 May 2009
Team Notes: The management of the carnival and the venue advise that it is essential that the following information is placed on all permission notes in regard to the championships.
"1. The course and park surrounds are private property and are patrolled by security officers of the RACE COURSE.
2. The course is not open to the public.
3. It is not available for trial runs.
4. Parking is available in the racecourse carpark.
5. Garbage bins are provided for litter.
6. Only competitors and officials are permitted inside the course barriers."
Officials: Applications are called for officials. The PRIMARY CROSS COUNTRY OFFICIALS Teacher Application Form must be completed and returned by Wednesday 27 May 2009. Zones are only required to staff zone teams.
AWD (Athletes With a Disability) Cross Country Participation. Elite AWD's can download and print AWD CROSS COUNTRY PARTICIPATION ENTRY FORM in order to participate at the NSWPSSA Cross Country Championships to be held at Eastern Creek Raceway on Friday 31 July 2009. Nomination Forms must be completed and returned by Wednesday 27 May 2009.
State Carnival: The NSWPSSA and NSWCHSSA Cross Country State Carnival will be held on Friday 31 July 2009 at Eastern Creek Raceway, Eastern Creek.
