Events: Schools are to nominate experienced divers who can fulfil all requirements of their respective age group.
Springboard Boys & Girls Primary 8 / 9 Yrs
Springboard Boys & Girls Primary 10 / 11 Yrs
Springboard Boys & Girls Primary 12 / 13 Yrs
Platform Boys & Girls Primary 12 Yrs & Under
Age is determined by the age turned during the current calendar year.
Swimming attire as laid down by the FINA Handbook should be observed and this precludes football shorts, board shorts, t-shirts, or other unsuitable apparel.
SPRINGBOARD
8/9 Years Boys and Girls - 3 dives
1 dive @ 1.5 degree of difficulty or less
2 dives with no limit on degree of difficulty
10/11 Years Boys and Girls - 3 dives
1 dive @ 1.6 degree of difficulty or less
2 dives from 2 groups with no limit on degree of difficulty
12/13 Years Boys and Girls - 4 dives
2 dives from 2 groups @ 3.6 degree of difficulty or less
2 dives with no limit on degree of difficulty
Dives may be performed from either the 1m and/or the 3m springboard
PLATFORM
12 Years and Under Boys and Girls - 3 dives
1 dive @ 1.6 degree of difficulty limit
2 dives with no limit on degree of difficulty
Dives may be performed from 5m platform only
Selection: Three (3) entrants per event may be selected to represent Sydney North at the NSWCHSSA Diving State Carnival on Wednesday 8 April 2009 at Sydney Aquatic Centre, Homebush.
This competition will also be the selection trials for School Sport Australia championships in September 2009.
Successful nominees will be sent all information to enable them to represent Sydney North at the NSWCHS Championships.
