Entry: All competitors must be members of Zone Teams.
Each Zone may enter:
Two (2) competitors per Zone in all Breaststroke, Backstroke, Butterfly events.
Two (2) competitors per Zone in Open 100m and Senior / Junior Medley events.
Two (2) competitors per Zone in all Relay events.
Three (3) competitors per Zone in all other individual events.
** Substitutions may be allowed by the Carnival Manager on the recommendation of the appropriate team manager.
There are no qualifying times.
There is no limit to the number of events a competitor may enter.
Age Groups:
8 years born 2001
9 years born 2000
10 years born 1999
11 years born 1998
12 years born 1997
13 years born 1996
Junior: 8yrs 9yrs 10yrs
Senior: 11yrs 12yrs 13yrs
Rules: The carnival will be conducted under the Rules of NSW Swimming in conjunction with the Handbook of the NSWPSSA.
Program: The PRIMARY SWIMMING PROGRAM is presented here for you to download and print.
Officials: Applications are called for officials. The PRIMARY SWIMMING OFFICIALS Teacher Application Form must be completed and returned by Friday 27 February 2009.
Coaching: Once competitors are in the hands of the marshal coaching is not permitted. The penalty will be disqualification.
Protests: Will only be received in writing from team management.
Apparel: Sydney North PSSA Apparel will be on sale.
Disabled Events: The NSWPSSA encourages students with intellectual, physical and sensory disabilities to participate in the swimming program. Contact should be made with the Sydney North Sports office to ascertain procedures for inclusion in such events prior to Friday 6 March 2009.
State Carnival: A Sydney North team will be selected at the conclusion of the Sydney North carnival to participate at the NSWPSSA State Swimming Championships on Wednesday 8 April and Thursday 9 April 2009.
