EVENT 1: STROKEPLAY CHAMPIONSHIPS
Categories: Boys Open & Girls Open
Teams: Best 3 score from the one school
Events: Scratch and Handicap
Entry: All competitors must forward a GOLF STROKEPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP ENTRY FORM to the Sydney North Convener by Monday 2 March 2009. A ballot may be required as tee time is limited. Maximum handicap for boys is 18 and 36 for girls.
Regulations:
(a) Entry fee is to be paid to the starter 10 minutes prior to hit-off.
(b) Dress code is strict.
(c) Collared shirts and tailored trousers are required. No denim.
(d) Metal spikes ARE NOT PERMITTED and buggies with slick tyres are compulsory.
EVENT 2: MATCHPLAY CHAMPIONSHIPS
Entry:
(a) The first 8 scratch placings in both Boys and Girls from Event 1 (Strokeplay Championships) automatically qualify for the Matchplay Championship.
(b) A draw will be sent to all qualifiers.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Permission Note: ALL STUDENTS ATTENDING a Sydney North Trial should bring to the Trial a completed and signed GENERAL SYDNEY NORTH TRIALS STUDENT PERMISSION NOTE and hand to the Sydney North Convener prior to commencement. All students attending Sydney North Trials need the permission of their School Principal, Sports Organiser, Organising Teacher and Parent.
Selection: A team of four (4) boys and four (4) girls will be selected after the NSWCHS Championships in May to represent Sydney North at the NSWCHS Golf State Carnival Tuesday 7 July - Thursday 9 July 2009 at Tamworth.
Selection will be based on performance in:
1. Match play championship
2. Sydney North Stroke Play
3. CHS Stroke Play
