DIVISIONS
Senior: 16 Years this year and Over
Junior: 15 Years this year and Under
Note: A Junior may elect to play in the senior division but not vice versa.
Entry Information: Zone Conveners should forward entries on the SECONDARY TENNIS NOMINATION FORM to the Sydney North Convener by Thursday 12 February 2009.
Other Details:
(a) All matches will be singles events.
(b) All competitors must wear correct tennis attire.
(c) All competitors are responsible for their own travel arrangements to and from the courts.
(d) These championships will be run on a knockout basis with sets being first to 9 (tiebreaker 8 all). All rounds after Rd1 & Rd2 will be up to the discretion of the convener. There will be no consolation round. Even if knocked out in the first round no competitor may leave the courts before 2.30pm without written parental consent.
(e) If wet weather prevails notice of cancellation will be on Radio (Metropolitan 2DAYFM & Central Coast Community FM Radio - Radio 2CCC 96.3) Ph: 4322 0072.
(f)Reserves MUST NOT automatically turn up on the day expecting a match. If a player pulls out of the team it is his responsibility to contact the first reserve and notify the Zone Manager.
Lunch: Students should provide their own lunch and drinks. Canteen facilities are available.
Equipment/Gear: Students should wear appropriate tennis attire and bring hats and sun-screen.
Permission Note: ALL STUDENTS ATTENDING a Sydney North Trial should bring to the Trial a completed and signed GENERAL SYDNEY NORTH TRIALS STUDENT PERMISSION NOTE and hand to the Sydney North Convener prior to commencement. All students attending Sydney North Trials need the permission of their School Principal, Sports Organiser, Organising Teacher and Parent
Selection:
1. Twelve (12) senior girls and twelve (12) junior girls will be selected to compete at the NSWCHSSA Tennis Championships at Penrith from Tuesday 17 March - Thursday 19 March 2009.
2. Students should bring an additional $20.00 to the Sydney North Trials, as this entry fee of $20.00 is required to be paid on the day should they be selected to participate in the NSWCHS Trials at Penrith.
3. A Squad will be selected to compete in the NSWCHSSA Girls State Carnival from Tuesday 8 September - Thursday 10 September 2009 at Armidale.
